Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using advanced dental equipment
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take and develop dental radiographs using digital imaging systems
- Manage patient flow and ensure optimal clinic efficiency
- Maintain digital records and implement HIPAA compliance protocols
- Train on new dental technologies as equipment is upgraded
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or NY State)
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience with digital radiography
- Proficiency in practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- OSHA and infection control certification
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient education
- Ability to adapt to new equipment and technologies
- Valid CPR certification
