Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, restorative procedures, and oral surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize all dental instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
- Perform and capture high-quality digital X-rays and intraoral photographs for diagnostic purposes.
- Manage patient intake, update medical and dental histories, and ensure accurate charting.
- Greet patients warmly, manage appointments, and answer phone inquiries professionally.
- Instruct patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Valid California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant License.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental setting preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
