Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Take digital X-rays and impressions
- Manage patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide monitoring
- Provide post-op instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain supply levels
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification (RDA or DA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- X-ray certification and radiography proficiency
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Flexibility with scheduling (must work some Saturdays)
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
