Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument handling and suction management
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize equipment, and maintain inventory
- Take dental impressions and develop X-rays with precision
- Manage patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
- Deliver post-procedure care instructions and patient education
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and patient flow
- Uphold OSHA protocols and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant certification or DANB eligibility
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix)
- CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers)
- Exceptional chairside manner and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
- Flexibility to accommodate morning/after/evening shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
