Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including oral surgery, implants, and restorative treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance protocols
- Take digital dental impressions and assist with radiography (X-rays)
- Manage patient flow and coordinate with front desk for seamless appointments
- Provide chairside support during procedures and post-operative care instructions
- Inventory management of dental supplies and ordering materials
- Maintain accurate patient records and digital charting systems
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB certification required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general or specialty dentistry
- Proficiency in digital imaging systems (DEXIS, Sirona)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
