Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures with precision and efficiency.
- Prepare treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital images.
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and collecting insurance information.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment at all times.
- Process payments and handle administrative front desk duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in California.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but entry-level candidates with externship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and sterilization protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical setting.
