Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Take and develop precise dental radiographs (X-rays) with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and treatment documentation using Dentrix software
- Perform sterilization and infection control protocols exceeding OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient clinical workflow
- Deliver post-operative instructions and patient education with empathy
- Coordinate scheduling and maintain inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program graduate or equivalent experience
- Active DANB certification and current radiology license
- Minimum 2 years chairside experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control compliance
