Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields with advanced equipment
- Assist surgeons during complex surgical procedures with precision
- Maintain sterile environments and sterilize surgical instruments
- Coordinate equipment inventory and maintenance protocols
- Document surgical cases accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary surgical teams seamlessly
- Implement infection control standards rigorously
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification mandatory
- Proficiency in robotic surgery equipment a plus
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Ability to handle high-pressure surgical environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Detroit metro area residency preferred
