Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
- Manage patient records and digital charting
- Take impressions for crowns/bridges and pour models
- Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
- Order inventory and manage supply levels
- Ensure strict OSHA and HIPAA compliance
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Knowledge of dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft)
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and infection control skills
- Excellent communication and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Maryland state radiology license
