Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using precise instrument handling and four-handed dentistry techniques
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA and CDC protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient records and digital charting with Dentrix/Epic software
- Delieve patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Coordinate treatment schedules and maintain inventory of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in Virginia (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (EHR)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Strong knowledge of infection control protocols
- Excellent communication skills and chairside manner
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
