Responsibilities
- Perform chair-side assisting for general dentistry procedures and speciality treatments.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols for all instruments and equipment.
- Take and develop digital X-rays, including bitewings and panoramic images.
- Manage patient intake, update electronic health records (EHR), and explain post-procedure instructions.
- Prepare operatory rooms with necessary materials and ensure a sterile environment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or valid State X-ray license (CORCE) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient comfort.
- Proficiency with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) is a plus.
