Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorations, extractions, and crown placements
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision and care
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for efficient workflows
- Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide chairside support and comfort measures to anxious patients
- Perform sterilization protocols and maintain OSHA compliance standards
- Deliver post-operative instructions and schedule follow-up appointments
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of dental supplies
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification or accredited diploma required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control procedures
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to put patients at ease
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Valid CPR certification and willingness to obtain radiology license if needed
- Experience with Eaglesoft or similar dental management software preferred
