Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Take and develop accurate dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilize instruments
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for patient care
- Perform patient education on post-operative care and oral hygiene
- Manage digital dental records and practice management software
- Coordinate inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications
- Current Texas Dental Assistant certification or DANB certification
- 2+ years of clinical dental assisting experience
- Proficiency in digital radiography (Dexis/Sirona preferred)
- Experience with practice management software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- CPR/BLS certification
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume practice
- Detail-oriented with commitment to patient safety
