Responsibilities
- Perform chair-side assisting during examinations and procedures, ensuring four-handed dentistry for optimal efficiency.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to strict OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with high accuracy and patient safety.
- Greet patients warmly, manage check-in/check-out processes, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene and home care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Assist with billing and insurance coordination where necessary.
Qualifications
- DANB Certified (or equivalent experience) strongly preferred.
- CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Previous experience in a general dentistry practice (1+ years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, materials, and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a fast-paced clinical setting.
