Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chair-side assistance and preparing treatment rooms.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following strict safety protocols.
- Perform vital signs monitoring and record patient health history accurately.
- Ensure strict sterilization and infection control standards are met for all instruments and equipment.
- Manage patient check-in, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling efficiently.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene practices.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB Certified Entry-level Dental Assistant (CEDA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a dental setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
