Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures, managing anxiety, and providing post-operative instructions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including dental histories and treatment plans.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Perform and process intraoral and extraoral X-rays using digital technology.
- Front Desk Support: Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-ins, and insurance verification as needed.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and order dental supplies and materials to ensure the practice is well-stocked.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Dental Assistant certification (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Licensure: Must possess a current CPR/BLS certification.
- Skills: Proficiency in four-handed dentistry, taking impressions, and operating digital X-ray equipment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and accuracy in clinical tasks.
