Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Take and develop dental radiographs with precision
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure smooth clinic flow
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms and materials for optimal efficiency
- Provide post-operative care instructions and patient education
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Dentrix software
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or eligible for Kentucky certification
- X-ray certification (DANB/RHS or state equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in general dentistry
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent interpersonal skills and patient rapport abilities
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
