Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for all instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems accurately
- Order dental supplies and inventory materials efficiently
- Provide post-operative instructions and compassionate patient education
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state-issued)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral cameras
- Knowledge of OSHA sterilization standards and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume practice environment
- CPR certification and willingness to maintain current credentials
