Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures with four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and dental materials to ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (Radiography) and produce accurate impressions of teeth and gums.
- Greet and orient patients, explain procedures, and provide post-operative instructions.
- Maintain patient records accurately and efficiently in the dental software system.
- Manage the front desk occasionally, including answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Infection control compliance: strictly following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or DANB Certified (RHS/ICE) preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures to patients.
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
