What You'll Do:
As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care. You will work closely with our dentists and hygienists to create a comfortable and efficient dental experience for every patient.
Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper sterilization and preparation of instruments.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, review medical histories, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop digital X-rays (panoramic, periapical, and bitewing) as directed by the dentist.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and cross-contamination prevention.
- Office Management: Manage appointment schedules, maintain accurate patient records, and process insurance claims accurately.
- Prophy & Fluoride: Perform professional cleanings, polishing, and fluoride treatments as necessary.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Dental Assistant license in North Carolina (NDA) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and X-ray certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting.
- Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and modern dental equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and a warm, patient-friendly demeanor.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and assist patients (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods.
