Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Perform and process dental X-rays (radiographs) and intraoral photographs.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict infection control protocols.
- Greet patients, update medical records, and explain dental procedures.
- Monitor patient comfort and provide post-operative instructions.
- Maintain accurate and organized patient charts and records.
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Dental Assistant License (required).
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred (1+ years).
- Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
