Responsibilities

  • Chairside Assisting: Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Patient Care: Greet patients warmly, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their visit.
  • Instrument Preparation: Properly prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict health and safety protocols.
  • Digital Radiography: Perform and process dental X-rays (Panoramic and Periapical) accurately using digital sensors.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and treatment histories in our EMR system.
  • Infection Control: Adhere strictly to OSHA and CDC guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant License (CDA/DHA) in Illinois.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and digital X-ray systems.
