Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Greet patients, prepare them for treatment, and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments with precision and efficiency.
- Instrumentation: Sterilize and organize dental instruments, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop digital X-rays and impressions as directed by the dentist.
- Administrative: Manage patient records, update charts, and handle insurance inquiries.
- Hygiene: Perform basic oral hygiene instructions and teach patients proper care techniques.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or CDA (Certified Dental Assistant) license in Texas.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in 4-handed dentistry, impression taking, and coronal polishing.
- Hygiene: Must be comfortable with coronal polishing and fluoride treatment.
- Licensure: Current BLS/CPR certification required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
