Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Take and develop diagnostic dental X-rays with precision and safety compliance
- Manage sterilization protocols and infection control procedures per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for optimal efficiency
- Delieve patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Coordinate appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist with front desk operations including billing verification and insurance processing
Qualifications
- Active Texas Dental Assistant certification (DANB or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in a fast-paced dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography (X-rays) and intraoral imaging systems
- CPR/BLS certification from a recognized provider
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and instruments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment
- Experience with Eaglesoft or Dentrix practice management software preferred
