Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation: Escort patients to treatment rooms, prepare them for procedures, and ensure their comfort throughout the visit.
- Instrumentation: Sterilize dental instruments and set up tray stations according to strict infection control protocols.
- Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop dental X-rays, as well as perform oral cancer screenings and impressions.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update dental charts, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Infection Control: Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for all patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of a dental assisting program is a plus.
- Certification: Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification through our paid training program.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform fine motor skills.
- Availability: Must be available for full-time shifts, including occasional weekends and evenings.
