Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to strict safety protocols.
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) and digital impressions as directed.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and processing insurance claims.
- Provide post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education to patients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant License in the State of Texas.
- Certification in Radiography (Intraoral/Extraoral) is required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
