Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including restorative treatments and oral surgeries
- Prepare patients for treatment and ensure comfort throughout visits
- Take and develop dental X-rays following safety protocols
- Manage sterilization and infection control procedures
- Coordinate patient scheduling and maintain accurate records
- Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (or eligibility)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in dental practice
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques (OSHA compliance)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification
- Tennessee state radiography license (or ability to obtain)
