Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chair-side during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms, dental instruments, and materials to ensure readiness.
- Take and process dental X-rays (radiographs) according to safety protocols.
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and proper oral hygiene techniques.
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures for all instruments.
- Manage patient records and assist with front desk reception duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA) or RDA license required.
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited dental assisting program is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a general dentistry setting.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform fine motor tasks with precision.
