Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Support the dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and proper positioning.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth patient journey.
- Diagnostics: Perform and process dental X-rays (radiographs) accurately and in compliance with safety protocols.
- Infection Control: Maintain strict sterilization standards for instruments and work areas to ensure a safe environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure the practice runs efficiently.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, handle scheduling, and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current state license as a Dental Assistant in Louisiana.
- Certifications: Current CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental office preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern sterilization techniques.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a warm, professional demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
