Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient comfort
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Perform infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment
- Manage patient records and digital charting systems
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory levels
- Deliver post-operative instructions and schedule follow-up appointments
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong willingness to learn dental procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Basic computer proficiency for digital record systems
- Valid CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
