Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist and hygienist during patient examinations and treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays (panoramic and intraoral) under supervision.
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures in a calming, clear manner.
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Ensure strict sterilization and infection control protocols are followed.
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong desire to learn and a positive attitude are more important than prior experience.
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Reliable transportation and availability for flexible scheduling.
