Responsibilities
- Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and arranging equipment.
- Take and develop digital dental X-rays (panoramic and intraoral) as directed by the dentist.
- Manage patient intake, update medical histories, and prepare clinical charts.
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilization standards (OSHA compliance).
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Assist with front desk reception duties, including scheduling appointments and handling insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
- Experience with modern dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Curve Dental).
- Strong knowledge of four-handed dentistry and sterilization techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a warm, patient-centric demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
