Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatments
- Sterilize instruments and maintain strict infection control protocols
- Assist dentists during procedures including four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take dental radiographs and develop diagnostic images
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Epic experience preferred)
- Perform lab tasks including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
- Coordinate patient education on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant certification (RDA or equivalent) required
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency with digital radiography and practice management software
- CPR certification and BLS training
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build patient rapport
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
- Valid California Dental Board Radiography permit
