Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentist: Provide chair-side assistance during examinations and procedures, ensuring optimal patient comfort and safety.
- Diagnostics: Perform and process dental x-rays (panoramic and intraoral) and take accurate digital impressions.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to sterilization and disinfection protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
- Patient Management: Greet patients, update medical histories, and prepare treatment rooms efficiently.
- Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-procedure care instructions.
- Inventory: Monitor and restock dental supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current DANB certification (or equivalent) and valid CA Dental Assisting License.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in 4-handed dentistry, coronal polishing, and fluoride treatment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude.
- Certifications: Current BLS (CPR) and First Aid certification.
