Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including instrument preparation and patient monitoring
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with proper safety protocols
- Perform infection control and sterilization of equipment and instruments
- Manage patient records and schedule appointments using dental software
- Prepare treatment rooms and ensure optimal inventory of dental supplies
- Provide post-operative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Assist in emergency dental procedures with calm professionalism
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to put patients at ease
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise instrument handling
- Basic computer literacy for dental software systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
