Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during procedures including exams, fillings, and extractions
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following OSHA protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Manage patient scheduling and digital record systems
- Provide chairside support and patient education
- Order inventory and maintain dental supply inventory
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform precise manual tasks
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to completing paid training program (4-6 weeks)
- Basic computer literacy (EHR experience preferred)
- Valid Nebraska dental assistant certification (post-training)
- Pass background check and drug screening
