Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Oversee patient flow in busy emergency department settings
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care prioritization
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Provide patient education on emergency department processes
- Manage critical communication during high-volume situations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in New Mexico
- Minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Proficiency in ESI triage methodology
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities
- Experience with Epic or similar EMR systems
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
