Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, surgical, and cosmetic treatments
- Perform chairside duties such as instrument transfer, suction management, and patient positioning
- Take and develop accurate dental X-rays following ALARA protocols
- Manage infection control through sterilization and OSHA compliance procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for optimal efficiency
- Deliver exceptional patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Maintain digital patient records and practice management software
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- No prior dental experience necessary – training provided
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Valid CPR certification (training provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8+ hours)
