Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and ensure comfort throughout treatments
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontics
- Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to strict safety protocols
- Maintain sterilization protocols for instruments and operatory equipment
- Manage patient records, digital charting, and scheduling systems
- Provide post-procedure instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene
- Order inventory and manage supply chain for dental materials
Qualifications
- Certificate/Diploma from accredited Dental Assisting program
- Current CPR/BLS certification and state radiology license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental software (Dentrix/Eaglesoft preferred)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and infection control knowledge
- Valid Pennsylvania dental assistant license
