Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the lead dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Patient Care: Greet patients, explain procedures, and provide post-operative instructions to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and sanitation of instruments and treatment rooms.
- Radiography: Perform intraoral and extraoral X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Inventory Management: Monitor supply levels and assist in ordering dental materials to ensure the practice is fully stocked.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the dental management system.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current State Dental Assistant License (or enrollment in a CODA-accredited program).
- Certifications: Current certification in Radiography (RDA) and BLS/CPR.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry setting preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and modern dental equipment.
- Soft Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a warm, welcoming demeanor.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and accuracy.
