Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the dentist and hygienist during examinations, treatments, and surgeries with precision and efficiency.
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures, educate them on oral hygiene, and ensure their comfort throughout their visit.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for sterilization and sanitation of instruments and operatory rooms.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays (Radiography) and intraoral photographs as directed.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update Electronic Health Records (EHR), and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Supply Management: Monitor and restock dental supplies and materials to ensure smooth daily operations.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant License.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a general dentistry practice is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in dental software (e.g., Eaglesoft, Dentrix) and digital radiography.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
- Work Ethic: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
