Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
- Perform digital radiography and intraoral imaging with precision and efficiency
- Manage infection control protocols and sterilization of instruments per OSHA standards
- Prepare treatment rooms, materials, and equipment for seamless patient workflows
- Deliver patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
- Maintain accurate digital patient records using Eaglesoft practice management software
- Coordinate scheduling and chairside assistance for multi-doctor teams
Qualifications
- Accredited Dental Assistant program certification or equivalent experience
- Current DANB certification and state radiography license
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in general dentistry
- Advanced knowledge of dental materials, instruments, and procedures
- Proficiency in digital imaging (CBCT, intraoral cameras) and practice management software
- Exceptional chairside demeanor with strong communication skills
- CPR/BLS certification and ability to handle medical emergencies
