Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays with precision and care
- Maintain sterilization protocols and ensure clinic hygiene compliance
- Manage patient records using digital dental software (Eaglesoft/Dentrix)
- Assist with inventory management and supply ordering
- Provide post-operative care instructions to patients
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification in New York State
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a dental setting
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Ability to work flexible hours including occasional weekends
