Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments with chairside assistance.
- Prepare patients for dental procedures, ensuring comfort and explaining processes.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) following safety protocols.
- Maintain strict sterilization and infection control standards for all instruments and equipment.
- Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Perform office duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phones.
Qualifications
- Current Dental Assistant License (State of Louisiana) or graduation from an accredited dental assisting program.
- CPR and BLS certification is required.
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-oriented demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
