Responsibilities
- Chair-Side Assistance: Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and surgeries, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to sterilization protocols, prepare treatment rooms, and maintain a clean, safe environment for all patients.
- Diagnostics: Take and develop high-quality digital X-rays, intraoral photographs, and impressions as directed.
- Patient Education: Explain post-operative care instructions and oral hygiene techniques clearly to patients to ensure their long-term health.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update charts accurately, and handle front desk reception duties when necessary.
- Vital Signs: Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout their appointment.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current Nevada State Dental Assistant License (RDA) is mandatory.
- Certifications: Current CPR and BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Red Cross or AHA.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant preferred; recent graduates with externship experience are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Proficient in dental terminology, anatomy, and dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft).
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Professionalism: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
