Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist chairside during examinations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to strict OSHA and CDC guidelines.
- Take and develop dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed by the dentist.
- Greet patients and guide them through the check-in process, ensuring a comfortable experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical histories.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current RDA (Registered Dental Assistant) or DANB certification is required.
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dental office setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Proficiency in dental software and technology.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
