Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and assist dentists during treatments
- Take and develop dental X-rays with digital radiography systems
- Manage sterilization protocols and maintain infection control standards
- Assist with administrative tasks including scheduling and record management
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies
- Ensure operatory equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or state equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a dental practice
- Proficiency in digital radiography and dental software (Epic, Dentrix)
- CPR certification (current or willingness to obtain)
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Arizona dental radiography permit
