Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including four-handed dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials according to strict infection control protocols.
- Take and develop intraoral and extraoral X-rays (Radiography certification required).
- Manage patient records, including updating charts and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Instruct patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene techniques.
- Perform chair-side sterilization and manage inventory of dental supplies.
Qualifications
- Current DANB Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- At least 1 year of clinical dental assisting experience.
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
