Responsibilities
- Chairside assistance during restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures
- Digital radiography and intraoral imaging
- Four-handed dentistry techniques and instrument transfer
- Infection control and sterilization protocols
- Patient education on oral hygiene and treatment plans
- Dental software proficiency (Dentrix/Eaglesoft)
- Lab procedures including pouring models and fabricating temporary crowns
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or RDA required
- 2+ years clinical dental assisting experience
- Expanded functions certification (EFDA) preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent manual dexterity and chairside manner
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Local anesthesia monitoring certification
- Valid Virginia dental radiography license
