Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during complex procedures including restorations, extractions, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain OSHA compliance protocols
- Take and develop dental radiographs with digital imaging systems
- Manage patient scheduling and chairside coordination for seamless workflow
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions
- Maintain digital patient records using Dentrix/Eaglesoft software
- Order dental supplies and inventory management for clinical efficiency
Qualifications
- Active Dental Assistant certification (DANB or Virginia state license)
- 2+ years of clinical experience in general dentistry
- Proficiency in dental radiography and infection control protocols
- CPR/BLS certification from accredited institution
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Excellent chairside manners and patient communication skills
- Experience with Eaglesoft/Dentrix practice management software
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced clinical environment
